2017 UPDATE: I am not currently accepting new individual supervisees. At this time, I am only available to contract with organizations to provide supervision to their employees.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the field. I have been licensed in California since 1999. I provide clinical supervision to Bay Area ASW and MFTi candidates pursuing their license through the California BBS. I began supervising interns and associate social workers in 2004 at a large Santa Clara County non-profit. Since then, I have supervised over 40 pre- and post-master’s social workers and marriage and family therapists. I am currently employed part-time as a Clinical Supervisor at a local non-profit organization. I have completed all BBS required supervisor training and am familiar with completing BBS licensing paperwork.

Topics addressed in supervision:

  • Diagnosing and DSM 5
  • Assessment, MSE, Treatment Planning
  • Clinical Interventions
  • Transference and Counter-Transference
  • Professional Development and Professional Goals
  • Boundaries and Use of Self
  • Self-Care
  • Risk Assessment
  • Case Review

Supervisee Minimum Requirements:

  • MSW or Master’s in Counseling (or equivalent)
  • Registered ASW or MFTi with BBS
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Commitment to regular supervision
  • Positive and growth-oriented attitude
  • NASW or CAMFT membership (strongly recommended)

For additional information, you may wish to read my blog posts on supervision. If you are looking for ASW or MFT interns (MFTi) supervision, please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Hello, I am interested in more information about your group supervision sessions. I have worked as a medical social worker for many years in skilled nursing and hospice, and am now working at an elementary school as a tutor. I only work part time so would likely need supervision just once or twice a month. I would love to continue getting my supervision hours and eventually reaching my goal of becoming an LCSW. Thank you!

    • Hi Debbie,
Thanks for asking. I’d love to get a group supervision going, but still need a few others to commit. I will let you know if that happens in the near future. If you decide you’re interested in individual supervision in the meantime, I’d be happy to talk to you about that as well. Thanks!

  2. Hello,

I am searching for 1200 hours of group supervision from an LCSW. How many candidates would you need to begin a weekly group?

    Thank you,

  3. Hello,

I saw a pin that you had posted on Pinterest and, on that pin, I noticed that you did supervision. I understand that you are currently not accepting new individual supervisees. Do you happen to know of anyone who is accepting individual supervisees? I will be receiving my clinical mental health counseling diploma in September and would like to start my post-grad journey of becoming a candidate for licensure exam in TN (have to have supervision for two years and do counseling for 10 hours/week prior to attempting to take exam in TN).

    Please let me know. Thanks!
