I'm Sharon, a licensed therapist and counselor in San Jose, CA.

Sharon Martin, LCSW

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

You're used to feeling in control, being the go-to person, getting shit done, and succeeding. You push yourself. You're busy. You're stressed out. Now feelings are bubbling up and they feel out of control. It feels like everything's falling apart - it might be your relationships or work or everything.

Sometimes it's obvious what's wrong and sometimes you just know deep inside that something's off, but you can't put your finger on it.

You feel like a fraud; like you're failing.

You feel like you've lost yourself.

You're paralyzed. You keep thinking and thinking, but you can't move, can't decide.

You're overwhelmed.

I know it's hard to reach out for help. For a long time I struggled trying to do it all myself, too. I felt alone, empty, unappreciated, and stuck. Therapy is hard work. I'm not going to lie. It takes effort and commitment. But isn't it time you start showing up for yourself? This is your life, but you don't have to do it alone.

I will help you center yourself so that you can make decisions, take charge of your emotions, feel confident at work, and create meaningful relationships with people who accept and appreciate you.

I can help you discover your true self and learn to accept your flaws and short comings. It's from this place of self love and acceptance that change is possible. You can let go of pleasing everyone else and feel good about being you!

I have a beautiful private therapy office in Campbell dedicated to helping over-stressed people-pleasers, perfectionists, and anxious adults embrace their imperfections and feel at ease.

Let's work together to:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Let go of self-doubt and criticism
  • Build satisfying relationships
  • Develop healthy boundaries
  • Increase self-confidence
  • Navigate life transitions
  • Manage challenges of being a highly sensitive person
  • Heal childhood wounds (especially adult children of alcoholics)
  • Grieve losses
  • Make decisions
  • Effectively manage your emotions rather than letting emotions rule you
  • Accept uncertainty
  • Move from victimhood to empowerment
  • Make yourself a priority

My goal is to support you in creating a healthy, happy relationship with yourself and others. I specialize in counseling for anxiety, perfectionism, and codependency. I find the root of these problems is often a feeling of not being good enough and a harsh inner critic. Through our work together, you can learn to treat yourself with compassion and acceptance.
